New possibilities for Ortivus in Italy – Renewed contract with Piacenza

The Italian province of Piacenza has chosen to renew its contract with Ortivus as the company won a procurement of monitoring and electronic patient record systems for prehospital care. Piacenza has used MobiMed since 2005 and is now expanding to around 10 ambulances equipped with Ortivus’ solution. “MobiMed helps the customer to streamline their workflow and they have, among other things, benefited greatly from implementing standardised templates for, for example, stroke and trauma,” says Graziano Falanesca from Pro.Med Srl, Ortivus’ distributor in Italy. The patients can be transported directly to the correct receiving unit and do not need to be transported via the emergency room. The receiving unit can prepare for the patient’s arrival, making sure tha the resources of care chain is utilised in the most efficient way. The renewed agreement secures many years of continued use of MobiMed in Piacenza, which is strategically important in order to strengthen Ortivus’ presence in Italy. Piacenza’s ambulance operations use both MobiMed monitoring and ePR, and the renewed agreement is a confirmation that the users are satisfied with the solution. “The fact that Piacenza continues to contract Ortivus shows that our products are highly reliable, with good quality.” says Reidar Gårdebäck, CEO of Ortivus. Italy has a large population with an increasing need of care and a large installation base with many ambulances. In line with the growing demand for new digital healthcare solutions, there has been an increasing interest in Ortivus’ solutions in Italy. “We see Italy as an important market with great potential for our innovative and modular solutions. Within the next three years, there are great development opportunities for Ortivus to strategically expand in the Italian market.” – Per Piccola Karlsson, Business Developer Ortivus.
