Chest pain patients often stay in different wards during their stay in hospital. First they come to the emergency ward, then they are transported to CCU, perhaps they are moved to the Cath Lab to perform a PCI and after that going back to CCU and later they stay in the step down ward.
During this time they have to be monitored. In most hospitals they will be monitored with different equipment in different wards. With Ortivus CoroNet system the same monitoring system can be used during the whole stay in hospital and the monitoring data, inclusive waveforms, can be stored in one file in the CoroNet database. It is also possible to use the same wireless transmitter independent where the patient is at the moment.
